Men's health referrals in Southport, Ashmore and Robina

General information only, not medical advice – talk to your doctor about your health and any symptoms.

Finding a doctor you are comfortable talking to can make it easier to raise health concerns. For men living or working around Southport, Ashmore and Robina, AMPHA can help with general doctor referral enquiries.

AMPHA is a Queensland incorporated association based on the Gold Coast. We provide general men’s health information and connect people with doctors. We are not a medical clinic and do not provide medical advice.

Suburbs we connect with

Our referral enquiries cover the central Gold Coast, including Southport, Ashmore and Robina, as well as nearby suburbs such as Benowa, Bundall, Nerang, Surfers Paradise, Molendinar, Labrador, Carrara and Varsity Lakes. If you live elsewhere on the Gold Coast, you are welcome to get in touch too.

If you live or work in Ashmore itself, or in any of the suburbs above, you are welcome to get in touch. Our enquiries are general, and a registered doctor will always make the clinical decisions about your care.

How a referral enquiry works

Send a callback enquiry with your name, contact details and suburb. You do not need to share health details on the form. AMPHA can then talk you through general information about partner clinics in the area so you can decide what suits you.

You are always free to choose your own doctor, including your existing GP. AMPHA may receive fees for referring people to partner clinics, such as Third Spring Medical, and we are open about that.

What to expect from a doctor

A registered doctor will take your history, ask about your symptoms and lifestyle, and may examine you or arrange tests if appropriate. You can check any doctor’s registration on the public AHPRA register. Our article on accessing men’s health care in Australia explains more.

Before you book

If you are not sure where to start, our free online self-check offers a few minutes to reflect on your routines. It does not assess your health, and the result always encourages you to talk to your doctor. For urgent concerns, call 000 or visit your nearest emergency department.

Why a local doctor can help

Seeing a doctor close to home or work makes it easier to attend appointments, follow up on tests and build an ongoing relationship. Over time, a regular GP gets to know your history, which can make future conversations simpler and care more coordinated.

Many central Gold Coast clinics offer early, late or weekend appointments, and some offer telehealth for follow-ups. Ask about fees and Medicare rebates when you book, and mention if you would like a longer appointment to discuss several things.
